STAR ANISE PIECES
Star Anise Pieces bring a beautifully aromatic, sweet-spicy flavour with hints of liquorice. These star-shaped pods are widely used in Asian and Indian cuisine, especially in biryanis, pho, and Chinese five spice blends. Add to broths, stews, or mulled wine for a warming depth of flavour. Star anise also complements desserts such as poached fruit or spiced cakes. Use whole or crushed, and remove before serving. Available in 50g and 100g sizes.
Please note, the pieces will mostly be whole stars but they do break easily so we do not guarantee they will all arrive as complete stars.

STAR ANISE USES AND RECIPE
Add 1 or 2 pieces of star anise to a pot of pho, broth, or slow-cooked curry for a deep, aromatic flavour. Simmer with cinnamon and cloves in apple juice for a homemade mulled drink.
You can also infuse it in syrup to drizzle over baked fruit or pancakes.
