ET’S Authentic Classic Pickling Spice Mix for Cabbage – How to Use and Recipe
Finely shred red or green cabbage. Pack tightly into jars with 1–2 tsp Pickling Spice Mix for Cabbage. Heat 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Pour over cabbage, seal, and refrigerate. Ready in 1–2 days for fresh tangy slaw-style pickles. OR

Ingredients:
- 1/2 small red cabbage
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons pure cane sugar
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- ET’S Pickling mix
- 1 teaspoon ET’S pickling salt.
METHOD:
Slice cabbage finely.
Place in a glass jar.
Place water, vinegar and sugar together and whisk until dissolved. Pour over cabbage.
Add contents of Pickling Mix and salt.
Place lid on jar and shake to mix contents.
Leave on kitchen bench top for an hour or so, inverting the jar regularly to mix contents.
Place in fridge.
Tomorrow you can start nibbling it but it is best after a week or so.
Will keep in fridge for a month or so.
